We continue to identify cities in the U.S. that appear to be underserved by traditional air carriers.
"Making the determination for what markets will support public charter transportation is more difficult," says Johnie Martinez of XAIR. "As important as any other part of the process is placing the right aircraft to connect two cities. We are reaching out to the operators of different aircraft to establish working relationships for future endeavors."
XAIR remains focused on rolling out initial service between the Seattle and Anchorage areas in 2010.

We certainly appreciate the tenacity of carriers that carve out their niche in the face of overwhelming odds. Ryanair is no slacker. Based in Ireland, this airline faced tremendous obstacles to achieve sustained growth in 25 years of operation, becoming a dominate force in European air travel.
